Crashing a state dinner at the White House apparently takes a security breakdown as well as some kind of nerve.

But the stars were aligned for Tareq and Michaele Salahi on Tuesday night.

White House staff were left red-faced after the aspiring reality TV couple caused a security scare by gatecrashing an Obama-hosted dinner.

The Salahis mingled in the same room as President Obama, First Lady Michelle Obama and guest of honour Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh – despite not being on the guest list. They even posed for pictures with vice-president Joe Biden, Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel and US news presenter Katie Couric.

It is not known if they encountered the Obamas themselves.

The couple was only discovered after posting pictures on Facebook.

They captioned them, writing, “Honoured to be at the White House for the state dinner in honour of India with President Obama and our First Lady!”

The couple did not manage to be seated at a table in the South

Lawn tent where the dinner was held, however.

The singer shelled out £18,000 on Christmas decorations which she will use to deck out her house for a mammoth festive party.

The future of The Pussycat Dolls is in doubt following reports the girl group has split.

The five-piece, fronted by Nicole Scherzinger, has been dogged by rumours this year they were planning to go their separate ways after completing their world tour in July.

The remaining four bandmembers Ashley Roberts, Jessica Sutta, Melody Thornton and Kimberly Wyatt are said to have fallen out with lead singer Scherzinger.

A source told the New York Post, “It is war. They have broken up for good. None of the other girls are speaking to Nicole, who they believe took the limelight, then went off to do her own thing.” – Daily Mail

Her boyfriend had been worried that Emma Watson would fall for ‘an American hunk’ when she went off to study in the US.

Slinky Spanish rock stars obviously didn’t occur to him.

Miss Watson, best known as Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter movies, was spotted side-by-side with Rafael Cebrian at an ice hockey match in New York this week. Both are studying at the prestigious Ivy League Brown University, 50 miles away in Providence, Rhode Island.
