Britney Spears does geek chic
Big pants are back. And Britney Spears is rocking the look on the Australian leg of her tour.
With the latest trend for underwear as outerwear hitting the high street, the 27-year-old has included big Spanx-style pants and sexy corsets into her Circus tour wardrobe. She worked a sexy geeky look, wearing large white glasses and a bowler hat with large black pants, fishnets and a black bra.
She then teamed a pink fedora and white sunglasses with a black PVC bra under a police- woman’s shirt. She then wore a black waspie over pants and fishnet tights.
Her new wardrobe also included a corset dress similar to the Bordelle Angela Cage which is flying off the shelves. British designer Alex Popa, who founded Bordelle two years ago, has also made corsets for Shakira, Lady GaGa and Christina Aguilera. Rihanna has also worn similar designs.

Kate Winslet sparkles in sequins
At first glance it appeared Kate Winslet went for her usual understated black dress at a German awards ceremony.
But she had glammed up her outfit with a bit of bling.
The actress’s dress not only had sequinned shoulders, but she carried a clutch bag emblazoned with her initials in jewels. The dress, which clung to her curves at the rear, also had a cutaway back covered in lace.
She was at the Bambi Awards in Berlin to receive a gong for the best international actress for her role in The Reader.
In the film – for which she won an Oscar – she played a German woman with a secret Nazi past.

Nicolas Cage switches on Christmas lights in Bath
Hollywood actor Nicolas Cage drew a crowd of thousands as he turned on the Christmas lights in Bath Thursday night.
It was certainly an odd sight in the city, but then the Bad Lieutenant actor does have a property to sell nearby and rumoured financial problems.
It was perhaps this that led Cage to wish the citizens of Bath ‘prosperity in the New Year’. Wearing a black suit, white shirt and festive red tie, the star of Leaving Las Vegas spoke of his love for Somerset, where he first bought property in 2007.
Cage, who can command up to £10 million a film, said: ‘I love Bath, I am happy in Bath. I wish you all prosperity in the New Year.’

Jennifer Aniston kept her distance from old friend Orlando Bloom as they touched down at London’s Heathrow today.
The pair, who have been romantically linked in the past, were both on board the same 12-hour British Airways flight from Los Angeles to Heathrow Terminal 5.
Despite taking pains to make sure they weren’t photographed together, they were evidently in the same group as their mutual manager Aleen Keshishian was also with them.
