How many trips do you take a year?

It’s hard to put a figure on it, but I’m on tour 80 per cent of the time, which means quite a lot of travelling.

What is your packing routine?

Packing for me normally takes two hours. First, I find out the number of shows I have on that particular trip, then I pack according to that. It’s good for me to have an itinerary, so I know whether the shows are indoors or outdoors, in cold or hot countries. I also tend to pack a lot of white and black T-shirts, jeans, and then I rotate those.

What are your must-have carry-ons?

Two things: iPod and laptop.

What was your most eventful business trip?

All of them are. They’re called shows. they’re all events.

Do you have an exercise routine?

What is it?

Yes. Two hours performing every night, under the lights on a stage. I don’t need no more exercise than that!

Who was your most memorable seat mate?

Tennis pro Serena Williams.

Do you listen to airline radios?

Yes, I do.

What is your ideal business destination?

New York City, the greatest city in the world.

What is your favourite airport?

Dubai International Airport

What’s the worst thing about all this travel?

Transportation Security Administration (TSA).

And the best thing?

First Class.

Do you practise any jet-lag-busting activities?

No, I’m too much of a frequent flyer; I don’t normally

experience jet lag.
