SYDNEY, Australia (CMC) — West Indies players Stacy-Ann King, Deandra Dottin and Shanel Daley have been posting prominent performances playing professional women’s cricket in Australia.

Trinidad and Tobago’s King and Kirbyina Alexander, Barbadian Dottin and Jamaican Daley have been participating in the Sydney Women’s First Grade competition.

In the latest round of matches, Dottin scored 36 for her club Gordon, enabling them to reach 240 for nine off their 50 overs against King’s team Eastern Suburbs.

King was in fine form for Eastern Suburbs taking three for 46.

Gordon claimed victory when they restricted Eastern Suburbs to 174 for eight in reply.

All-rounder Daley was also in good form, getting 38 for St George-Sutherland in their effort of 296 for eight against Universities in the seventh-round fixture.

Daley then returned with the ball to capture two for 53 to lead her team to a 20-run win.

In the previous round six, Dottin was again among the runs getting 39 as Gordon went under to St George-Sutherland by 56 runs.

At Drummoyne Oval, King had great figures of two for three to bowl out Sydney for 181. Eastern Suburbs in reply were bowled out for 113.

Dottin had also posted a score of 49 in Gordon’s fifth-round match, which they lost by six wickets at Chatswood Oval to Campbelltown-Camden.
