Lady Waa Waa

Lady Gaga broke down in tears as she received a plaque for selling eight million records worldwide.

Decked in another dazzlingly wierd outfit, the eccentric singer spilled her emotions after receiving the commemorative plaque at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles after the last of her three sold-out performances at the venue.

Earlier in the week, she had reflected on her sudden rise to the top, saying:

“A year ago this month I was opening for Natasha Bedingfield and the New Kids on the Block — at this theatre.”

The singer declared herself a ‘gothic Tinkerbell’, in danger of dying unless her fans scream – and they have obliged during her ongoing Monster Ball world tour.

And she in turn has put in a performance to remember — whether it’s crawling on the floor in a glossy black bustier, or sleek in red vinyl and rhinestone glitter.

But strange as her routines have been, it would come as no surprise given her gig on The X Factor earlier this month, where she asked for a giant bathroom to be built onstage.

In the end, she did nothing worse than cavort with a host of dancers in the huge four-metre-long bath while performing her latest single, Bad Romance, but the production team behind the show had reason to be nervous.

Jennifer Aniston makes a leap of faith to Kabbalah

Jennifer Aniston could be the next Hollywood star to convert to Kabbalah, after striking up a friendship with devotee Demi Moore.

The former Friends actress turned to Buddhism following her difficult split from Brad Pitt – but now I hear she is considering making the switch to the fashionable faith, which is based on ancient Jewish mysticism.

“Jen and Demi first met a few years ago through a lifestyle guru in Hollywood, but they bumped into each other at a Mont Blanc party in New York last month,” says a source.

“They spent ages talking and Demi was waxing lyrical about how life-changing and wonderful Kabbalah is, and how much it helps her in her day-to-day life.”

Beyonce’s Single Ladies voted best video of the decade

Beyonce’s Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It) has been voted best music video of the decade.

The choreography in the black-and-white video sparked a dance craze and has been parodied by the likes of Justin Timberlake.

The second most popular video – voted for by fans of the music website Muzu.tv – was Fatboy Slim’s Weapon Of Choice, which featured Christopher Walken dancing in an empty hotel.

Madonna’s dancing in a pink leotard in Hung Up, came third, followed by Kylie Minogue’s Can’t Get You Out Of My Head, where she dances provocatively in a white hooded outfit.

Eminem’s Stan, which tells the story of an obsessive music fan, was voted fifth.

Why Uma Thurman ended her engagement

Uma Thurman’s planned wedding to entrepreneur Arpad ‘Arki’ Busson was cancelled because the actress had second thoughts about her future.

“Uma was really affected by the early deaths of her two friends Natasha Richardson and David Carradine,” a pal said.

‘It made her re-evaluate her life and she concluded that Arki and her wanted different things’.

Uma, 39, lived near Natasha in New York state and after her death said: “Growing up has been all about realising that life gets more serious.”

Added a source: ‘Life with Arki was all about dashing from St Tropez to St Barts. Uma just wanted to slow down. They had a big row and Uma called it a day.”

It would have been Uma’s third marriage, she was previously wed to actors Gary Oldman and Ethan Hawke.
