Celebrities share New Year holiday snaps on Twitter

By Lindsay Lohan’s standards, her New Year’s Eve celebrations were a low-key affair.

Instead of partying the night away, the 23-year-old actress jetted off to the Caribbean, kicking off 2010 in sunny St Bart.

The Mean Girls star posted a photograph of herself wearing a bright pink bikini while cruising on a yacht, on the microblogging site Twitter. Updating her fans about her holiday, she posted: ‘Starting my new year off with friends and family, the way it should be … No boyfriends and the other drama.’

Lindsay wasn’t the only celebrity to use Twitter to record details of their festive break. Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher also posted on Twitter. The 47-year-old actress and her actor husband, 31, both uploaded a festive image of them together, with the post: ‘I got a feeling … that tonight’s gonna be a good night!’

Paris Hilton also posted photographs of her trip to Aspen.

One image showed the socialite wearing a fluffy white hat, a white coat with a fur trim and white-rimmed sunglasses, along with the post: ‘Snow Bunny.’ The 28-year-old enjoyed an intimate New Year’s Eve with boyfriend Doug Reinhardt, 24. She told Radaronline.com: ‘I’m going to be spending New Year’s in Aspen with Doug and his family.’

Her younger sister Nicky Hilton was also keeping in touch with Twitter fans, posting a photo of her with a friend, celebrating New Year at LAX nightclub in Los Angeles.

JLo displays her downsized derriere

It is the curvaceous derrière which launched a modern-day diva.

But as Jennifer Lopez cavorted on stage in an utterly unforgiving diamanté-studded catsuit Thursday night, her once ample bottom appeared to have been downsized.

Suffice it to say, there was no space for any lumps or bumps in a figure-hugging outfit which stole the show. She teamed the catsuit – which looked see-through under the stage lights – with a pair of matching diamanté-studded ankle boots. The 40-year-old singer was performing her 1999 hits Waiting For Tonight and Let’s Get Loud and her new single Louboutins at Times Square in New York to celebrate the start of 2010.

Christina Aguilera shows off her new slimline look

In recent years, Christina Aguilera has been famed for her curvy figure and blonde bombshell looks.

But celebrating the New Year in Las Vegas last night, the 29-year-old singer was cutting a dramatically slimmer frame.

Joining friend Nicole Richie at Lavo nightclub at the Palazzo Hotel, Christina looked skinnier than she has been in years as she stepped out in a black slip dress. Her previously ample cleavage appeared smaller than usual, and her bare legs looked thin. Christina, who has a 23-month-old son Max, has said in the past she hates dieting, but her slimmer shape may be due to her forthcoming film Burlesque, in which she plays a burlesque dancer.

Hollywood races to make a film about Tiger

Tiger Woods’ womanising has seen the golfer fall from grace in the public eye, but now his antics could be made into a film. Hollywood producers are keen to tell the story of the married father-of-two, who has been linked to 14 different women in the past two months, in a made-for-TV movie. Jerry Maguire star, Oscar-winning Cuba Gooding Jr, 41, is said to be one of those being lined up to play the golfer.
