On the eve of its 10th anniversary celebrations in 2010, Saint CEO Deiwght Peters has revealed that a big part of his creative strategic direction is to work closer with affiliate agencies in Paris to image and position his models for the global fashion sphere.

“The Men’s collection kick-start the fashion calendar and our Guadeloupean model Rainer Boucard is now in Paris meeting with fashion’s top clients. He has already met with Yves St Laurent, Cerruti, Issey Miyaki, and a host of others,” Peters revealed. Boucard was scouted by Peters while visiting Jamaica with his girlfriend. Shortly after, he was sent to New York for his portfolio development. Two weeks later he was signed to Major Models Milan. He is now signed to Angels and Demons Models in Milan. He will be joined on the board by Creing Wittingham and Tafari Hinds.

COUTURE-READY

Saint Models Sigail Currie and Kareen Taylor should be in Paris for the Couture shows later this month. The couture shows are considered the most prestigious showing where hand-sewn gowns can fetch prices of more that US$75,000. Designers such as Christian Dior, Armani, Yves St. Laurent traditionally stage spectacular couture shows to enhance the prestige factor of their houses. The models for these presentations are specially selected. “Kareen will be with Angels Models while Sigail will return to Major Models Paris,” Peters revealed.

READY-TO-WEAR COLLECTIONS

Later in February, the pret-a-porter (Ready-to-Wear) Collection begins. The SAINT team of fashion stars will be bolstered by superstars Shena Moulton, Sosheba Griffiths, first timer Trissan Holder and Shantelle Fitten.
