When you’re the executive director of a non-profit association of near 200 US-based business people and Jamaican residents who do business with the USA, managing myriad corporate and social activities is par for the course.

Becky Stockhausen’s “Best Kept Secret” allows her to manage both spheres efficiently as she moves easily from her offices at the Jamaica Pegasus to any of the hotel’s many meeting and function rooms.

“A tenant and a customer for 10 years now,” Becky says, “I feel very fortunate to begin each work day by walking into the lobby of the Jamaica Pegasus Hotel. Always vibrant, elegant, appropriately decorated for a particular theme or holiday, throughout the year (Christmas is the best!).

However, most importantly, and probably “the best kept secret” of the Pegasus would be their staff. No matter what task they are performing, or their station at the hotel, each member of the staff always greets everyone with whom they come in contact with a smiling face and always has something pleasant to say. So even on the rare day when I may not be feeling particularly cheery, as I enter the hotel lobby, I instantly become energised for the day ahead, and I am reminded why the Jamaica Pegasus has always been considered the “City Centre” of New Kingston!
