What are your earliest memories of Kingston?

My earliest memories are of family and friends, and learning the hook of the latest song so we could sing at the top of our voices.

What do you miss when you are not in Kingston?

All the trees: mango, apple, coconut…all kinds. They’re just not the same anywhere else.

You were recently on BET’s Mo’Nique and shared the star’s couch with Lenny Kravitz. How was that experience?

It was awesome. Most talk-show hosts haven’t given me a chance to sit on the couch and talk. And talk she did. Mo’Nique gets deep… she’s a very real person.

What are your favourite home comforts?

A Jamaican breakfast of ackee and salt fish. No matter how well a Jamaican restaurant cooks it in foreign, it’s never the same. Our weather is another favourite and,

of course, being

around family.

There’s so much good food to choose from and so many ways to enjoy it. It’s difficult to single out one.

Waste. Negligence.

I haven’t been on holidays in like forever. But Silver Sands in Trelawny and Portland are two of my favourite spots.

to a first-time visitor

to Kingston?

Absorb the culture and really get to know our people; these are two of our best resources. Hit the nightclubs, go to Passa Passa. Check out the Bob Marley Museum and eat some good Jamaican food.
