Sandra’s Space
Sandra Walters has been nurturing plants since she was eight years old. And what started as just child’s play — mimicking her grandparents who were both gardeners — has blossomed into a beautiful love affair with flowers.
Her treasured space, located at her home in Havendale, features a colourful cornucopia of flowers including varieties of orchids.
“I’m crying that I don’t have enough space,” Walters tells SO, noting that she’s the kind to be always giving away plants to make space for new projects.
Her desire to try new things or better yet, grow them keeps her in the garden at least two hours each morning before she heads off to the hardware store which she operates. We’re delighted to shares with our readers a few of her truly formidable blooms.
