Your own gourmet cupcakes in minutes
Yes, it is possible in a sort of semi-homemade kinda way, but what’s wrong with that? When you haven’t got the time, but all the intentions, the way to do it is take advantage of those who’ve done part of the work for you.
Creating your own spectacular creation is as simple as buying frosted cupcakes from your favourite bakery and Easter-themed candy from any store that sells candy.
Create a spectacular display using a cupcake stand if you have one, or create your own cupcake tower by stacking varying sizes of pedestal cake stands on top of each other. If you don’t have pedestal cake stands, create your own by inverting a sturdy bowl and placing a plate on top of it, create another such stack on top of the first and so on until you achieve the height you want. Do not stack more than 3 heights, though; otherwise you will compromise the sturdiness of the tower. You could actually use a little hot glue to secure them (temporarily) as the glue will be on the bottoms of the plate and glass, and it also peals away quite easily after wards.
Inspiration: All pictured are as follows:
o Bunny lollipops stuck into cupcakes turns a cupcake fun in seconds
o Colouring shredded sweetened coconut green and sprinkling it on top of your cupcakes create the look of grass, then top that with candy-covered chocolate eggs to complete the look
o Easter chicken or other animal candy make great toppers for your cupcakes
You can add a few sprinkles for more colour and interest and you still have time to achieve this for the weekend. Enjoy!
