Salt Spring Utd seek lead in Senior League
ROSE HALL, St James — Salt Spring United will be seeking to take over the lead in Zone A of the Claro St James Football Association’s Senior League today when they go up against Mt Villa in a rescheduled second-round game at the Wyndham Playfield, starting at 3:30.
Salt Spring United are in third place in the point’s tables on 15 points, one behind joint leaders Revelation FC ands Barrett Town, but after beating the Barrett Town-based Mt Villa in the first round will be confident they can make it two in a row.
Zone B leaders Tomorrow’s People will return to action when they take on mid-tables team North Gully Ambassadors at the UDC field.
Twelve points separate the teams with Tomorrow’s People leading with 19 points from seven games.
Tomorrow’s People are coming off a 1-0 win over last-placed Melbourne FC on Monday, thanks to a Bervin Brissett first-half goal at Bickersteth.
Melbourne and Abes Academy, who each have a win, will meet at Albion.
