Content Gardens and Links will square off in the final of the Noranda Jamaica Bauxite-sponsored St Ann Cricket Association General Manager’s Cup league following semi-final victories at the Kaiser Sports Club Discovery Bay earlier this week.

Content Gardens defeated Lodge by six wickets to secure their place.

Lodge batted first and posted 151 all out with Eugene Hudson getting an unbeaten 61. Kanute Ferguson with three for 19 and Orlanzo Harris, three for 36, were the top wicket takers for Content Gardens.

Chasing 152 for victory, Content Gardens reached their target losing four wickets, with Jonathan Johnson left unbeaten on 52. Harris contributed 26.

Links earned their berth after beating Summer Hill by five wickets. Anthony Williams hit a top score of 57, as Summer Hill posted 148 all out against Andre Dwyer 7-30.

Chasing 149 for victory Links reached 150 for 5 with Marlon Pinnock getting 31 and Alton Taylor 38 not out. Vanroy Wallace with four for 53 was the top wicket taker for Summer Hill.

ISCF, Keith also easy winners

ISCF and Keith were winners recently in the St Ann Cricket Association ‘A’ League top six play-off at the Drax Hall Cricket ground.

ISCF defeated St Ann’s Bay hospital by five wickets. Batting first the Hospital posted 104 all out with Anthony Williams getting 53. Leon Hardware took 7 for 25 for ISCF. In reply, ISCF reached 105 for 5.

In the day’s other game, Keith 306 all out crushed Orange Hill by 219 runs. Leaford Rodney bagged five wickets without conceding a run bowling for Keith against Orange Hill, who played two short.
