Meet Malinda’s Mum

She’s best known for her portrayal as hairstylist Traci ‘Bird’ Van Adams in the made-for-television version of Soul Food, but actress Malinda Williams she’s fab mother to son Omikaye. She shares with SO, ahead of Mother’s Day, what her mum Beverly Williams means to her.
The best lessons I learnt from my mum were:
o How to make her famous, moist delicious pound cake.
o How to raise healthy, confident and intelligent children.
o How to be beautiful and love the skin I’m in.
