Jennifer Hudson showcases her slim figure at Cannes Film Festival

She recently signed on as the new face of Weight Watchers and Jennifer Hudson could not have been a better advertisement as she paraded around Cannes Film Festival over the weekend.

The 28-year-old, who won an Academy Award in 2007 for her role in Dreamgirls, showcased her slim figure in a series of stylish frocks while promoting her upcoming biopic about Winnie Mandela. She followed the diet programme for several months after she gave birth to her first child, David Jr, last August. She put the impressive results on show in a thigh-skimming pale gold dress, a stylish cobalt blue number and a navy shift dress while attending a variety of events at the Festival.

She is now gearing up to fly to South Africa with Terrence Howard, who will play the former South African president alongside her, where filming will begin on May 31. Jennifer, who rose to fame on American Idol in 2004, said: “I am so excited and so honoured and can’t wait to get started. We start in the next week and I’m ready to go to Africa for the first time.” But Ms Madikizela-Mandela, as she has been known since her divorce, is understood to be unhappy about the biopic, which is based on Anne Marie du Preez Bezdrob’s biography, Winnie Mandela: A Life.

A spokeswoman for the film said its producer André Pieterse and director Darrell Roodt had met lawyers representing Ms Madikizela-Mandela and had refused to give her script approval because they wanted to preserve the integrity of the film. Jennifer insists the film will let movie-goers make up their own minds about the controversial figure. Jennifer, whose mother, brother, and nephew were tragically killed in a shooting in 2008, is also preparing to marry her fiancé David Otunga.

Who knew she was such a cheap date? Megan Fox’s boyfriend takes her for frozen yogurt on her birthday.

If Megan Fox was hoping her boyfriend had organised a spectacular surprise for her birthday, she may well have been left disappointed.

The Transformers actress, who turned 24 on Sunday, was treated to a very low-key night of celebration by Brian Austin Green. The 36-year-old actor, who starred in the original Beverly Hills 90210 series, took her to see the romantic drama, Letters To Juliet, at the Arc Light cinema in Hollywood. But at least her man showed a romantic side as he whisked her off to Pinkberry where he popped a single candle on a small serving of low-fat frozen yogurt. Except, he then ate it all himself. Still, Megan seemed content with the no-fuss affair and even issued kisses as they snuggled at a corner table.

Lohan falls over (again) as she hits the Festival parties

Lindsay Lohan claims she can handle her drink and her unsteady footing is simply down to her being “the most clumsy person in the world”.

So after an unsteady night out partying in Cannes in the early hours Monday morning, we can only assume the 23-year-old was just being her usual clumsy self. The Mean Girls star ended up crashing on the floor as she left a yacht party. Lohan was leaving with socialite pal Lady Victoria Hervey and a mystery male companion and moving on to another bash as she lost her footing, providing the horde of paparazzi with a perfect photo opportunity as she fell onto the floor. After being helped up by Hervey, the two women and their straw-hat clad male friend wandered off to yet another party. Following frequent photos of her falling over in recent weeks, Lohan insisted her drinking wasn’t to blame, she was simply “the most clumsy person in the world”.
