Knit Knickers for Mini Me
In our final series for the little ones this Child Month, we feature the very popular knit jumpsuit, but in miniature. Anna wears a full-length that’s perfect for big girls and can shorten into knickers, while Amanda Mae wears adorable knickers that can shorten into short shorts.
This is an adult style in many respects, but is quite cute and age-appropriate in these light and cheery colours of white and yellow. The adult style is normally strapless, but we added plaited cords in black, white and yellow as straps around the neck and sashes around the waist.
To make jumper:
o Cut back and front pieces, with elongated waist length for sag
o Join inner legs front to back
o Join front to back at sides
o Insert 1 1/2 inch elastic at top of jumper
o Insert 1/4 inch elastic in the hem at legs
o Attach tie straps at front centre
