The CFW SIZZLE – Carla’s Lure

Pulse model Carla Campbell remains an enigma a decade after she left every male drooling and most women feeling absolutely inadequate — the result of gliding her ever-so-lanky, boob-perfect, sexy chocolate body down the runway. As if that wasn’t enough, there was the Bardot pout, the morning-after hair and those sparkling eyes. Who else could we use for our SO cover, especially after she defiantly refused to reduce the size of her most coveted assets…

Carla’s Most Memorable Moments:

Sports Illustrated

British Esquire

She Caribbean

Cosmopolitan

Essence

There was, too, the video More & More by Joe and Donell Jones’ Do you Wanna.

Carla’s most memorable shoot

“Without a doubt my Maxim magazine shoot… it was memorable because the shoot location was a desert right in front of a prison. It was as hot as hell, but the prisoners kept yelling for more swimwear. This gave us the impetus to press on.”

Beauty & Brains

The sultry beauty, who reduced her workload this year in order to complete her MBA, still found time to fit in South Africa for longtime clients Otto, as well as the Nordstrom catalogue, and now has her sights firmly set on a career in film.

Solid Advice

Her advice remains pretty consistent: “Be yourself… it’s important to sell yourself and yes, to take tips from those you admire but at the end of the day, be you.”

… And on the heady glitz and glamour of the world of modelling?

“I enjoy it all and make the most of it but at the end of the day, I do look forward to leaving it all behind and curling up in my own bed.”
