The Hot Steppers

Style Observer

For the past 10 years, Caribbean Fashion Week has become synonymous with high-class fashion, superb styling, and an incomparable entertainment package. The audience is treated to signature runway walks and the sexy pouts of the familiar faces of the Pulse alum, who return to Jamaica each year solely for this special occasion. Here we feature some of our favourites, who will grace the catwalk with their presence at this year’s CFW.

Carla Campbell

Every woman wishes she were her. Every man wishes he were WITH her. Carla has that girl-next-door persona, but oozes sex appeal. It’s no wonder she’s landed stints in Maxim and Sports Illustrated, as well as the cover of 2005’s Esquire Magazine.

Jaunel McKenzie

Jaunel is the first Caribbean-born model to be ranked the #1 black model in the world by Models.com. Discovered by Pulse at 16 during their first Caribbean model search, her enviable portfolio includes spreads in Vogue and Elle, as well as campaigns for Nordstrom and Banana Republic. Catherine Malandrino, Derek Lam, Heatherette, Gucci, Dolce & Gabbana, Louis Vuitton, and Stella McCartney are only a few of the runways she has graced.

Nell Robinson

There’s no question as to why Arena Magazine dubbed her The Body after her debut as cover girl in 2005. Following in her mother’s footsteps, Nell has taken the fashion world by storm, her great genes allowing her the opportunity to appear in numerous swimsuit and lingerie campaigns such as Agent Provocateur and Victoria’s Secret.

Oraine Barrett

Since his emergence in 2004, Oraine is still a hot commodity on the fashion circuit. With his striking facial structure, and beautiful body, he is in high demand among clientele both in the US and in Europe. He is still riding high following his recent Ralph Lauren 2010 Winter Olympics campaign.
