Kourtney Kardashian sparks huge debate

Kourtney Kardashian sparks huge debate

when she admits baby Mason sleeps in her bed

Kourtney Kardashian started a passionate debate after she revealed she sometimes lets her six-month-old son, Mason, sleep with her in bed.

In an entry on her blog she admitted it was a controversial decision, but said it worked for her family. “Some say it’s not the best idea for the baby, but to be honest, much like breast feeding, I find it to be an amazing bonding experience for mother and son and I wouldn’t have it any other way,” she wrote.

Kourtney’s admission sparked a huge debate amongst her followers, with hundreds of comments left within a few hours. The practice of co-sleeping is controversial because it is associated with higher instances of sudden infant death syndrome, commonly known as cot death, along with the risk of crushing or rolling onto the baby.

But many mothers, including Kourtney, argue it helps them bond with their child and calms the baby. Kourtney, 31, said she had considered the risks and taken steps to reduce them, such as removing all the pillows and cushions from her bed. “I know that having Mason sleep in my bed might be a controversial topic,” she wrote.

“But I have to be honest: I just love that time. I especially love how when you sleep with your baby, you breathe together on the same pattern. I’ve been able to bond with Mason so much more.” One mother told how her son died when a pillow accidentally suffocated him as she slept. “I had to bury my son and will never get to watch him grow because no one warned me on how deadly co-sleeping is,” she wrote. “You can still bond with your baby during the day & before bedtime.”

Who’s the new guy, Jen? Single Miss Aniston enjoys the company of a mystery man

She’s Hollywood’s most famous singleton, but she wasn’t short of male attention last Thursday night.

The former Friends star was spotted leaving the Sunset Tower Hotel in Hollywood with an unknown man in tow. The hotel is one of Jennifer’s favourite night spots, and the pair stood and chatted with a group of men as they waited for the valet to bring around their car.

Showing that chivalry isn’t dead, Jennifer’s date took the wheel as the pair sped away from the paparazzi. Ever since Jennifer and Brad Pitt divorced in 2005, the actress has had short-term romances with several men. She has been linked to several high-profile stars, including Vince Vaughn and Gerard Butler, and musician John Mayer. Over the years people have been desperate to link the actress to a new man at any opportunity.

Angie and Brad’s kids follow their parents’ jetset lifestyle

They’re among the most famous children in the world — and Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s rainbow tribe look like they’re completely au fait with the high life already.

Angelina took the oldest of their brood with her on a private jet when she made a whistlestop trip to Cancun, Mexico, to launch her latest movie Salt. The actress, 35, was accompanied by four of her nonplussed kids, adopted Maddox 8, Pax, 6 and Zahara, 5, as well as her biological daughter Shiloh, 4.

After arriving, the Changeling star took the adorable quartet to one of the resort’s water parks to let off steam. After a day in the Mexican sunshine, she then brought the kids back onto the plane for the flight home — and maybe tea with their 46-year-old movie star dad.
