Transformers Megan Fox in her biggest role to date… as the blushing bride

The setting couldn’t have been more cinematic, but for Megan Fox there was only one choice of leading man. These exclusive pictures bear witness to the 24-year-old actress’s biggest role to date – as the blushing barefoot bride. Swathed in a strapless white Armani Privé gown complete with a flowing 16ft-long train, carrying a bouquet of gardenias and white roses, Megan looked like a textbook bride for her wedding. The groom, former Beverly Hills 90210 star Austin Green, also chose all-white Armani for the ceremony.

In these newly released pictures, the couple were married on June 24th in an intimate ceremony, conducted on a deserted beach in Hawaii at sunset, to the tranquil sound of waves lapping on the shore. Megan and Brian who had been dating for six years on and off before tying the knot, were wed at the Four Seasons Resort Hualalai at Historic Ka’upulehu. A local kahuna — Hawaiian priest — performed the ceremony. The uncharacteristically low-key ceremony took place in front of just one witness —Green’s eight-year-old son Kassius — from his relationship with actress Vanessa Marcil. Kassius arrived wearing an identical outfit to his proud father, save for a jade bracelet blessed by the kahuna with ocean water for the occasion. It’s the first marriage for the pair who met on the set of Hope And Faith back in 2004. Fox was just 18 when she met the ex-90210 actor, who was 30 at the time, and the pair have been on and off ever since. They first got engaged in 2007 before Fox broke it off in February 2009 and they became engaged again earlier this year.

Lady GaGa’s exclusion from Grammys Best New Artist Category sparks change in rules

Lady GaGa’s exclusion from the best new artist category at this year’s Grammys has caused the Recording Academy to change eligibility requirements for the next ceremony. Although GaGa was the most popular new artist of 2009, she was ineligible for a best new artist nomination as her hit Just Dance had been nominated in 2008, before she was a platinum-selling act, and previous Grammy nominees cannot be nominated for best new artist.

After she was excluded, Recording Academy President Neil Portnow said: ”There will be some changes so that this particular situation won’t repeat itself.” The changes were announced on Wednesday. The rule change allows previous Grammy nominees to be eligible, as long as the artist hasn’t released an entire album and doesn’t win. ”By current rules, if the other artist’s album or the new artist’s single receives a nomination, the new artist may never have the opportunity to compete in the best new artist category. With this change, each artist will have at least one opportunity to enter in this important and highly visible category.”

Changes were also announced in other categories. The Academy also voted to exclude all Grammy performances and performances during any Recording Academy event from consideration for a Grammy.

Golden Girl’s Betty White to become 2011 Calendar Girl

At 88 years old, actress Betty White of the popular TV sitcom The Golden Girls is catapulting to true ”IT girl” status by posing for her own 2011 calendar. Some of the photos are archival, while others show her posing with animals, and more than one month features Betty posing with shirtless, beefcake-type men. The Betty White Calendar costs US $12.99 and will go on sale in September. Royalties will go to the Morris Animal Foundation where White serves as a trustee. In May, White became the oldest person to host ”Saturday Night Live.” She’s also co-starring in the new TV Land original sitcom, ”Hot in Cleveland,” which airs on Wednesdays at 10 p.m. Eastern/9 Central.
