The Harem
With Sumfest, ATI, and Independence weekends all in a row, comfortable, stylish and versatile pieces are a must. The very popular harem trousers are a great alternative that can be dressed up or down, are comfortable and have the look of a dress but the comfort of trousers.
For the second week in a row we are getting inspired by other outfits and this week we are mimicking a silk harem jumpsuit, by making a similar jumpsuit using a knit. The knit makes it really versatile as it can be dressed up or down.
To make the outfit, simply:
1. Cut a square for the bottom
2. Fold fabric in two on the width
3. Stitch the sides shut leaving a 6-8 inch opening for the legs
4. Make a hem at the waist and thread with elastic, cut to waist measurement (stretched)
5. Make a tube top with elongated waist and attach to bottom
