Dexter star Michael C Hall looking healthy and happy again after battle with cancer
Happy couple: Hall is married to Jennifer Carpenter, who plays his sister on the hit show

Dexter star Michael C Hall looking healthy and happy again after battle with cancer

It’s been a gruelling battle against cancer for Michael C Hall but, having been given the all-clear earlier this year, he appeared before fans yesterday in rude health.

The Dexter star was at the Comic Con International in San Diego, California, where he looked relaxed and happy.

Hall was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma last year and underwent a brutal chemotherapy and radiation treatment programme.

Hall looked frail and sickly and wore a knitted cap to cover his bald head after he lost his hair to chemotherapy.

On April 25 Hall’s wife, and Dexter co-star, Jennifer Carpenter announced that the 39-year-old actor had won his battle and was now cancer-free.

On Friday at the Comic Con conference, a gathering of fans of the genre and TV stars, he appeared with his hair grown back and colour in his cheeks.

Hall has returned to work and is currently filming the fifth season of his hit show.

Dexter, set in Miami, is a show about a blood splatter analyst that works for the police forensics department and is secretly a serial killer.

The show’s first season was loosely based on the novel Darkly Dreaming Dexter by Jeff Lindsay.

Producers revealed on Thursday that the theme of the upcoming season is to be ‘Dexter’s nightmare is of his own creation’ and that ‘a serial killer must reap what he sows’.

It is due to air on Showtime in the US on September 26.

Isn’t that tweet!

She has become the queen of Twitter with over 2.8 million followers.

And Friday morning actress Demi Moore tweeted a picture of herself alongside Hannah Montana superstar Miley Cyrus.

The pair were on the set for their new movie LOL: Laughing Out Loud, and were pictured with the film’s director Lisa Azuelos.

In the movie,47-year old Demi plays a divorced single parent struggling to move on with her life while her daughter, played by Miley, 17, deals with her own boy issues.

Also starring in the film is Thomas Jane, of Hung fame, who portrays Miley’s dad, and Ashley Greene as the high school bad girl.

The film is a remake of a 2008 French comedy of the same name which was also directed by Azuelos.

They have been filming the movie in Detroit, where Miley and Ashley, 23, were seen earlier in the week walking their dogs during a break from shooting.

The ladies were accompanied by 17-year-old Douglas Booth who plays Miley’s love interest in the film.

Mums’ night out: Christina Aguilera and Nicole Richie relive their single clubbing days

Clearly enjoying their time off from mummy duty, Christina Aguilera and Nicole Richie decided to spend a night out on the tiles at trendy Los Angeles nightclub Voyeur.

The Dirrty singer and the Reality TV star, who is daughter of musician Lionel Richie, appeared to be reliving their single days as they were spotted heading out of Voyeur early today looking rather jaded.

Both women were dressed in jeans and white T-shirts. Clutching hands, the pair exited the West Hollywood club in the small hours.

Christina, 29, has a two-year-old son, Max Liron Bratman with her husband marketing executive Jordan Bratman.

Nicole, 28, has two children, a two-year-old daughter Harlow Winter Kate Madden, and a 22-month-old son, Sparrow James Midnight Madden with rocker boyfriend Joel Madden.

The friends have more in common than just their love of music. Christina’s son Max and Nicole’s daughter Harlow were born at the same time on the same day in the same hospital in Los Angeles on January 11, 2008.

Perhaps the two women discussed matchmaking plans for their offspring?
