Wave your flag: This paillette-covered strapless top worn with a floor-length silk skirt seemingly pays tribute to Haiti. Note too, the medieval-inspired sleeve design.

VEVE by Phelecia Dell
AW Fashion
Haitian designer Phelecia Dell declared her patriotism with the debut of her VEVE collection on the CFW runway. Naturally, the collection featured the colours of the Haitian flag (red, white, blue) and rust-coloured pieces accentuated with sunshine yellow were also showcased.
It was a formidable presentation of trendy linen pieces with origami detailing ranging from tunics to sheaths and a few swimsuits. The main attraction however was undoubtedly the must-have oversized burlap handbags. AW enjoys a second look at Phelecia Dell’s VEVE collection.
Summer whites: Comfortably cool is the way togo with these trendy tunics.
