Let’s Go Dancin’ returns to Ocho Rios Saturday
The resort town of Ocho Rios is reportedly gearing up for the third staging of the Independence weekend version of the Let’s Go Dancin’. This oldies party series set for the popular Ocean’s 11 tomorrow, Saturday August 7, beginning 7:00 pm.
The first two stagings of this new concept party — April 3 (Easter weekend) and May 22 (Labour Day weekend) — is said to have pulled in over 400 patrons, ad the promoters are expecting an even larger patronage, with this being the independence weekend, when out-of-towners usually invade Ocho Rios.
This weekend’s event will see Michael Barnett and Gladdy Parker return behind the turntables, weaving their musical magic with Gladdy on CDs and Barnett on vinyl records.
Patrons are again in for a memorable night of top class oldies; spanning the eras of the 60s right into the early 80s and both selectors have promised no holding back, so be sure to wear your dancing shoes!
There will be great prizes available; including an early bird cash prize sponsored by Care Furniture (Kingston); this will be drawn at 9:00 pm and is only eligible to paying patrons who arrive between 7:00 and 9:00 pm; in addition to other attractive prizes provided by co-sponsors Seals & Engravables; Ocean’s 11; and Fisherman’s Point Ocho Rios.
Let’s go dancin’ is a brand new series of oldies parties, specifically designed for the town of Ocho Rios during the 2010 holiday periods and the remaining dates are; October 16 (Heroes weekend) and December 25 (Christmas Day).
