AFTER playing two games without a head coach, Arnett Gardens seemed to have solved that problem with the acquisition of former national striker Paul ‘Tegat’ Davis, the Observer has learnt.

It is believed that Davis and the Arnett Gardens management reached a verbal agreement and the western Jamaica native should take charge of the struggling outfit.

However, club president Patrick Roberts told the Observer that “talks are ongoing with a number of coaches, but nothing has been confirmed as yet”.

Following their 0-2 loss to Waterhouse, coach Wayne Fairclough resigned last Thursday and Arnett Gardens have played twice without a coach, losing 0-1 to Tivoli Gardens and drawing 1-1 with Humble Lion on Wednesday.

But with time running out, Sean Coleman earned a share of the points by heading home from a free-kick in the 88th. That goal was always coming, as Humble Lion had missed a few clear-cut headers from previous set plays.

Coleman had somehow headed high early on while ghosting in unmarked from a corner kick.

It was a disappointing result for Arnett Gardens after looking a safe bet for maximum points. With just two wins from 10 games, they remain in ninth position with 10 points.
