2-y-o girl killed in St Ann crash, parents hospitalised

ST ANN, Jamaica – A two year-old girl has succumbed to injuries she received in a motor vehicle crash along Windsor main road in St Ann last night.

She has been identified as Omealia Riley of Steer Town district in the parish.Reports from the St Ann’s Bay police are that about 10:40 pm, Omealia was travelling with her parents along the mentioned roadway in a Toyota Tercel motorcar, when on reaching the intersection of the AGR Byfield Highway and the Windsor main road the driver allegedly lost control of the vehicle and collided into a Toyota Wish motorcar.Omealia sustained multiple injuries and was taken to hospital where she succumbed; her parents were admitted in serious but stable condition. The driver of the Toyota wish was treated and released. Investigations continue.
