Fire at Geddes Refrigeration
ST ANDREW, Jamaica — Plumes of smoke from Geddes Refrigeration Limited cascaded onto Spanish Town Road this morning, as fire ripped through the buildings.
The fire started at approximately 11:30, and fire-fighters on the scene were appealing for help from the St Catherine division as they were unable to control the blaze.
“I just saw the staff running out and I realised there was a fire and attempted to out it in the ceiling with a fire extinguisher,” said CEO Dane Lafayette.
“The whole administrative bloc, warehouse, everything is gone,” he told OBSERVER ONLINE.
At this time there is no reported loss of life. Daily Observer tomorrow.
