TAJ says systems in place for second traffic ticket amnesty
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Tax Administration Jamaica (TAJ) is advising motorists that its systems have been modified to accommodate payments for outstanding traffic tickets issued September 2010 to October 31, 2017.
TAJ said that with another traffic ticket amnesty now in effect from November 27 to January 13, 2018, individuals may make payments online at www.jamaicatax.gov.jm with any valid credit card or by visiting any tax office islandwide by presenting their traffic ticket(s) or the providing the ticket number(s) for easy processing.
With the online facility recording the highest collections of all TAJ collection points on the final day of the recently ended amnesty, the tax authority is encouraging people to utilise the online payment facility which provides a fast, secure and convenient option for those wishing to clear their outstanding fines.
Individuals may also opt to conduct their online transactions at any major tax office at the designated eTaxSpot, to get support from TAJ personnel while conducting their online traffic ticket transactions.
