Gun found wrapped in plastic bag in Mandeville

MANCHESTER, Jamaica — The Mandeville police are reporting the seizure of a firearm and several rounds of ammunition during a snap raid on Coke Drive in the parish this morning.

According to reports, about 6:35 am, a team of officers was searching the area when they observed an object wrapped in a plastic bag.

Police said it was retrieved and inspected and the firearm, a Glock 19 pistol fitted with a magazine containing eleven 9mm rounds, was found.

However, no one was arrested in connection with the find.
