UPDATE: Power restored to some customers in Trelawny, St Ann
ST ANN, Jamaica — The Jamaica Public Service (JPS) says power has been restored to several customers who were out of supply this morning in the parishes of Trelawny and St Ann.
JPS, in a release today, said significant improvements have been made in Trelawny, as power has now been supplied to Top Trelawny, and teams are presently on location in Stewart Town.
In St Ann, power supply has been returned to: Wild Cane; Silver Spray; Laughlands; and Lime Hall while work is ongoing in the Runaway Bay; Beverly; Mount Arrarat and surrounding areas.
“Iron Gate is still out of supply, but will also be addressed as soon as possible,” said JPS, again noting that the outages were caused by high winds and flooding, associated with the cold front being experienced by the island.
Meanwhile, some areas in St Andrew have also been impacted by outages, due to the prevailing weather conditions.
These include Duhaney Park, sections of Barbican and sections of Stony Hill.
JPS has assured its customers that its crews are working to restore power as quickly as possible.
