Teen reportedly held with gun in St James
ST JAMES, Jamaica — A male teen was yesterday arrested after he was reportedly held with a firearm during a police operation in Anchovy, St James.
Reports from the Anchovy police are that about 10:30 pm, a team of officers was in the area when they saw a male acting in a manner that aroused their suspicion.
He was accosted, searched and one Sig Sauer 9mm pistol with a magazine containing one 9mm round of ammunition was removed from his waistband, the lawmen said.
His identity is being withheld pending further investigations.
The teen is scheduled to appear before the Western Regional Gun Court on Thursday, February 8 to answer to the charges laid against him.
