Man charged with murder of 19-y-o fisherman in Westmoreland
WESTMORELAND, Jamaica — The Negril Police on Wednesday charged 23-year-old Oral Watson otherwise called ‘Ashman’, of West End, Negril in Westmoreland with the murder of a 19-year-old fisherman in White Hall district in the parish.
Reports are that about 4:40 pm, on January 17, lawmen responded to explosions heard in White Hall when they discovered the injured 19-year-old, Dimario Jackson, otherwise called ‘Dam Dam’. Jackson was lying on his back with several gunshot wounds to the upper body.
He was taken to hospital where he was later pronounced dead. Watson was subsequently arrested for the murder on January 31.
The police said his court date will be announced soon.
