Fireworks to light up Kingston at freedom street at midnight

Kingston, Jamaica – Freedom Street promises to end the year with a bang — literally. As the clock strikes midnight, the skies over Kingston will explode with a stunning fireworks display, ushering in the New Year “in true Gaza style: bold, vibrant, and unforgettable”, according to organisers.

The finale will crown what the promoters promise will be an electrifying night of performances.

What’s more, according to the organisers in a press release, Kartel is introducing the exclusive Gaza Nation Bleacher Ticket, a limited-time Black Friday deal. From midnight on November 29 to midnight on Sunday, December 1, 2024, fans can purchase these special tickets online at 50 per cent off the cost of regular bleacher tickets.

“Kartel himself is funding this discount as a heartfelt gesture to thank fans for their unwavering support,” the press release stated.

Tickets are available exclusively at freedomstreetlive.com with a limit of four Gaza Nation Bleacher Tickets per person. Regular bleacher tickets will remain available at full price.

Joe Bogdanovich, CEO of Downsound Entertainment, producers of Freedom Street, highlighted the significance of this offer, stating, “Freedom Street is a moment in history that celebrates Kartel’s legacy and the unmatched bond he shares with his fans. Offering this 50 per cent discount—funded by Kartel himself—speaks volumes about his loyalty to the Gaza Nation. This is more than a thank you; it’s a call to action for fans to come together and celebrate like never before.”

Bogdanovich continued, “We know many of you will want to secure your spots early for this monumental event, so we’re kicking off the Freedom Street experience bright and bold, with gates opening at 4 pm and the party experience starting immediately. As soon as you step in, DJs like ZJ Chrome, DJ Franco, Brush 1, Ricky Platinum, Boom Boom, and Code Red will immerse you in the electrifying energy of Freedom Street, setting the vibe and building anticipation for the unforgettable night ahead.”

Vybz Kartel shared his heartfelt gratitude: “Gaza Nation, your loyalty has been my foundation. This is my way of showing just how much your support means to me.”

He added, “This concert will be a family reunion. Popcaan, Tommy Lee Sparta, Lisa Hyper, Shawn Storm, Gaza Indu, Sheba, and the next generation: Likkle Addi and Likkle Vybz. With Skillibeng, Spice, Chronic Law, and even some international stars—the vibes will be unmatched.”

Scheduled for December 31, 2024, at the National Stadium, Freedom Street promises to be the ultimate celebration of Vybz Kartel’s groundbreaking journey and lasting influence on the genre.
