Unlock your inner ‘It’ Girl

We’re not typically influenced by viral beauty trends, but we’re here to tell you, the Brown Sugar Babe body oils are worth the hype!

For the past year or so, it’s been hard to scroll through TikTok, Instagram, or
YouTube without coming across a post raving about the sumptuous Brown Sugar Babe body oils housed in attractive amber bottles. The richly scented body oils not only
leave your skin healthy, glowing and irresistibly touchable, but boast long-lasting aromas that have fragrance enthusiasts in a chokehold.

If, like us, you’ve suffering from FOMO, you’ll be happy to know that the TikTok-trending, celebrity-adored Brown Sugar Babe oils are available on The Rock at Locale, right in time for Christmas!

And guess which scent is flying off the shelves? IT Girl, the special-edition body oil inspired by Rock-blooded beauty expert and journalist Kayla Greaves. With Christmas just days away, TSD suggests grabbing a few. They make great gifts and are a necessary addition to any self-care routine. If the warm and spicy IT Girl is not your vibe, try the fruit-centric Sugar Plum and Island Gyal, or the decadent Bad & Bougie. Wear alone, or use as a base scent for layering perfumes.

Shop locally at Locale, #ThePinkBuilding, 4 Holborn Rd

For up-and-coming entrepreneurs Brown Sugar Babe founder Maekaeda Gibbons offers sage advice and an exclusive peek into what’s next!

“If I knew now what I knew then… I would delegate and ask for help sooner. My entrepreneur mind wanted to make sure everything was perfect and always reflected my touch and vision, when in reality some things could have been executed by my team which would have freed me to express more of my creativity”.

Tuesday Style (TS): What’s the most important lesson you’ve learned that you would like to share with any up-and-coming entrepreneurs like yourself?

Maekaeda Gibbons (MG): Believing in myself and my skill has been the most important revelation and tool that pushes my success.

(TS): What’s next for Brown Sugar and how soon will the new products be on the market?

(MG): Come 2025 we are launching an amazing line of home diffusers that will feature some of our current faves along with some new ones crafted specifically for our home line.

TS: How has the reception been to your products in Jamaica?

MG: Brown Sugar Babe was welcomed to Jamaica with wonderful open arms and the feedback has been all positive.

TS:Any plans for Trinidad, Barbados, etc?

MG: Absolutely! We have identified a few outlets in Trinidad and Barbados that we plan on contacting, to explore a retail relationship and broaden our reach.

Sugar Plum smells exactly like it sounds: A really sweet, intoxicating blend of plum, nectarines, orange apple, white musk, maple and raspberry..

IT Girl.... smells like luxury!.
