The glamour of Jamaican fashion was celebrated at Hope Zoo on Saturday, January 25 as Jamaican fashion designer Nigel Ramsay unveiled his latest collection, Beautiful. The showcase featured 50 pieces carefully crafted to celebrate timeless elegance while pushing the boundaries of fashion. Ramsay said his eagerness to express himself in different ways, while giving those in the audience a new appreciation for beauty in his pieces, was his inspiration.

“Beautiful encompasses everything. They say that beauty is in the eyes of the beholder and I just want people to be able to see things that are beautiful and be able to say, ‘OMG! This is beautiful, I would love to see myself in something like that.’ This concept was [about] being able to express myself and showcase pieces that were reflective of the past, the present and the future.. pieces that I will build on for the future. So it’s always a growing process. That’s what the plan is to move forward with beautiful in a creative sense.” Ramsay shared.
