BOGOTA, Colombia (AFP) -- President Donald Trump has said he wants to send 30,000 "criminal illegal aliens" to the notorious Guantanamo Bay US military base in Cuba.
The site houses the prison where hundreds of terror suspects labelled "enemy combatants" were held -- many for years without charge -- after the 9/11 attacks. Some were tortured.
Trump said this week he had ordered the construction of a detention centre there to "double our capacity immediately" to hold undocumented migrants.
