Bowl & Spoon triples down on wellness with three new locations

Bowl & Spoon triples down on wellness with three new locations

KINGSTON, Jamaica — Bowl & Spoon, the Devon house-based restaurant known for its soups, salads, bowls and smoothies, will be expanding later this year with three new locations confirmed.

With spots secured on Lady Musgrave Road, the University of the West Indies (UWI) Mona campus, and in New Kingston, the business said it is answering a growing call for healthier fast options.

“Our growth is a response to the demand for clean, flavourful food that reflects who we are as a people,” said co-founder PJ Wright. “And with strong partnerships, like our growing relationship with Wisynco and other key distributors, we’re scaling responsibly—without losing the quality and intention behind every meal we serve.”

Bowl & Spoon launched less than two years ago in a 100 square feet space at Devon House and has exploded in popularity since.

That original location continues to serve a loyal daily crowd and laid the foundation for what’s coming next, the owners said.

The new locations will open on a phased basis between September and December 2025, bringing the Bowl & Spoon experience to more people across the city in time for the high season and end-of-year wellness resets.

Each space will offer a distinct vibe. Lady Musgrave Road will become the flagship location, offering both indoor and outdoor seating with a larger footprint and welcoming professionals and tourists looking for a relaxed, fresh-food experience.

The UWI campus location will serve students, faculty and hospital staff, offering convenient access to balanced, flavourful meals.

Meanwhile, New Kingston will cater to the city’s corporate workforce, providing quick, energising meals in the heart of the business district.

“This expansion reflects a broader cultural shift. Caribbean flavours are gaining global attention, and Bowl & Spoon is proudly pushing that movement forward. While international brands like Cava and Chipotle have found massive success by celebrating Mediterranean and Mexican culinary roots, Bowl & Spoon is doing the same for Jamaican-inspired health food, highlighting local ingredients and bold island flavour in every spoonful,” a statement indicated.

Bowl and Spoon said that through all of this, one thing remains unchanged — its commitment to its cheeky-but-true slogan, “No Forks Given”.

“We’re not just expanding locations. We’re expanding our impact,” Wright added. “This is about putting Jamaican flavour and wellness on the map and making it something our people can access, enjoy and be proud of.”
