Grace Food Festival Summer-Ready Bites

Honey, barbecue or spicy — whichever you choose — your wings don’t have to be boring. Grace Foods, in partnership with Chef Shea Stewart, is back with another flavour-forward recipe pairing that’s sure to spice up your week and give you a taste of what will be on the menu at the upcoming Grace Food Festival on Saturday, August 23!

First up, Grace Honey Jerk Wings! Crispy wings are tossed in a Grace Jamaican Honey Jerk Sauce, a rich blend of sweet and heat that brings that signature Jamaican kick. Garnished with lime and a sprinkle of fresh herbs, these wings are bold, sticky and packed with flavour in every bite.

To cool things down, pair this mouth-watering dish with a glass of Zesti Tropical Rhythms Sparkling Sorrel Spritz. Made with Grace Zesti Pineapple Kiwi and Grace Tropical Rhythms Sparkling Hibiscus (Sorrel) Ginger, this refreshing mix is fizzy and fruity with just the right amount of tang. Served over ice and garnished with lime, it’s the perfect summer pairing for the whole family to enjoy.

Big flavour, simple prep, and ingredients you already know and love. This kind of combo makes every bite and sip a Good Move. Sample this and so much more at the second Grace Food Festival — Saturday, August 23 at Palm Drive, Hope Gardens!

Grace Honey Jerk Wings

Ingredients:

2 lbs chicken wings (cut and cleaned)

1.5 cups of all-purpose flour

4 ozs Grace Honey Jerk Seasoning

1 oz Grace All-Purpose Seasoning

1 oz Grace Ketchup

Oil for frying

Fresh herbs & lime for garnish

Method

1. Marinate wings in 1 ounce Grace Jamaican Honey Jerk Seasoning and Grace All Purpose Seasoning. Let sit for at least 15 minutes.

2. To make the sauce, combine remaining Grace Jamaican Honey Jerk Seasoning with the Grace Ketchup and mix thoroughly.

3. Place flour for dusting in a medium size bowl.

4. In a medium sized frying pan, fill with oil halfway and over medium heat.

5. Preheat to about 325 degrees Fahrenheit. (If there is no thermometer, test by placing a small amount of the flour in, and if it starts to bubble, the oil is ready.)

6. Place each wing into the flour and coat evenly.

7. When oil is ready, carefully place each wing gently into the hot oil (slowly, to ensure no splashing)

8. Fry wings for at least 7-8 minutes or until golden-brown and floating at the top of the oil.

9. Drain excess oil and toss in Grace Jamaican Honey Jerk sauce, sprinkle with fresh herbs

Grace Zesti Tropical Rhythms Sparkling Sorrel Spritz

Ingredients:

3 ozs Grace Zesti Pineapple Kiwi Zesti

3 ozs Grace Tropical Rhythms Sparkling Hibiscus (Sorrel) Ginger

Lime slices for garnish

Method

1. Add ice to a glass with lime slices.

2. Pour in Grace Tropical Rhythms Sparkling Hibiscus (Sorrel) Ginger then pour Zesti Pineapple Kiwi and mix to create a bright and refreshing spritzer.
