Marisa Benain, executive producer, Plie for the Arts, had reason to be proud Tuesday evening when the curtain rose at Queen’s Hall, Winifred Atwell Auditorium, Trinidad and Tobago. Presented under the distinguished patronage of attorney-at-law and Miss Universe 1998 Wendy Fitzwilliam, Benain’s dream of showcasing Plié for The Arts Amalgamation Dance in the region was fulfilled.

“This year, Plie’s 2025 Gala, Amalgamation: Pure Imagination in the region, continues the dream of offering the best in dance globally,” shared Benain. The evening’s patron Wendy Fitzwilliam expressed her appreciation. “ I am so honoured and humbled by the opportunity to provide my patronage to Plié for The Arts Inaugural Dance Gala in Trinidad and Tobago featuring the world-renowned Alvin Ailey Dance Company of New York. Founder of Plié Marisa Benain has developed quite a reputation for hosting stellar dance performances in Jamaica, which thrill local audiences with the world’s best dance companies and performers. But her performances give so much more… in that they provide the local dance community with the opportunity, through workshops, to learn from and be seen by the world’s best”.
