MIAMI, United States (AFP) -- A prominent Haitian businessman accused of backing violent gangs in his Caribbean homeland has been arrested in the United States and is facing deportation.
Dmitri Vorbe was arrested in Miami on Tuesday and is in the custody of US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) pending removal proceedings, the US Embassy in Haiti said Thursday.
