I Found Love

I Found Love

When I found you, I found somebody who cares

When I found you, found my most intimate prayer

When I found you, I found what every heart dreams of

When I found you, I found love

When I found you, I found the rest of my life

When I found you, I told all others goodbye

When I found you, I saw my fears fly away like a dove

When I found you, I found love

I Found Love by BeBe and CeCe Winans

While the adage is true that you can’t choose your family, you nevertheless can choose your soulmate. For Patricia Laing and Stanley Leung, the two worlds beautifully intersected. Their unexpected meeting at a family reunion ignited a spark of curiosity that grew into love, leading to a lifelong commitment on August 23, 2025, at Coral Cay, Tower Isle, St Mary.

Their story began unexpectedly at a friend’s family reunion in August 2014, where the opinionated Stanley caught Patricia’s eye.

“What impressed me the most about him was how informative he was about current affairs, plus his gentle demeanour,” Patricia told Tuesday Style Vows (TSV).

Daily phone calls quickly followed that initial encounter. It didn’t take them long to realise their shared interests. By June 2015, their strong friendship transitioned into a commitment of love.

“Our all-night phone calls made it clear just how much we connected and how comfortable we were together,” Patricia reflected. An Ocho Rios escape on December 8, 2024 afforded Stanley the perfect opportunity to propose.

“Dinner was planned for the Plantation Steakhouse, but first, he had to make a quick stop at a jewellery store called Gem Palace to get his watch adjusted. The moment we stepped inside, the staff made me feel like royalty, offering me a seat and a glass of wine. I had no idea what was happening and wondered if this was just how they treated all their customers,” Patricia said. “My impressionable state turned into shock when a lady presented Stanley with what appeared to be a custom ring, and he immediately dropped to one knee to propose!”

Eight months later, their happily-ever-after unfolded, as Elegant Events set the scene for an unforgettable celebration of love.

Dressed in a stunning ballgown from LuxBridal, Patricia was escorted up the aisle by her father, Patrick Laing, to a waiting Stanley. The ceremony was officiated by Reverend Paul Neil.

The reception continued at Coral Cay with Kareema’s Kitchen catering. After a series of memorable toasts, Patricia and Stanley cut their two-tiered fruitcake provided by Kavel’s Pastry Delight before taking to the dance floor for the first time as husband and wife to I Found Love by BeBe and CeCe Winans.
