The Style Issue, October 23, 2025

London-based fashion house Maison Bent unveiled a limited-edition grass-roots England Football jersey on Thursday, October 16, at the ‘Your Game, Your Way’ event inside the Paul Canoville Suite at Stamford Bridge Hotel.

The launch, which marks the first collaboration of its kind with England Football, coincided with Frieze Art Week and Black History Month UK, and brought together sport, fashion, and art, highlighting cultural heritage, representation and the global rise of women’s football as anticipation builds for the 2026 World Cup.

Designed by Maison Bent founder and Creative Director Shanna Bent, the jersey takes inspiration from Viv Anderson — the first black man to play for England at the international level (whose parents travelled to the UK from Jamaica during the Windrush) and features Maison Bent’s signature print of Queen Nanny of the Maroons — Jamaica’s only female National Hero who led a community of escaped slaves to freedom. The design celebrates resilience, courage, and unity — values at the heart of football culture and diasporic heritage.

“For me, this shirt is about honouring the people who changed the landscape of football and the people who continue to do so quietly today,” said Bent.

Plus, ICYMI, major glam and bombshell blow-outs on the divine angels at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, by a Rock-fab team that included Dame Pat McGrath, and international hairstylist Jawara Wauchope.
