#EyeOnMelissa: JDF launches Melissa incident response form
KINGSTON, Jamaica —The Jamaica Defence Force (JDF) has launched an incident response form for locals to report anything they observe during the passage of the storm.
The JDF warned that the survey is not intended to trigger an immediate response and urged residents in a life-threatening situation or immediate danger to dial 119.
Others are asked to fill out the form, by logging the incident type, the parish where the incident occurred as well as the specific location via text box or via a map.
The severity of the incident, the date and time and a photo can also be inputted into the form.
The JDF says the information will help tremendously with response efforts and may be shared with other government agencies as they assess the damage occurring from Hurricane Melissa.
