Rad Dixon to release second album in 2026
Africa Calling Calling, singer Rad Dixon’s second album, is scheduled for release in early 2026 by Tasjay Productions.
The project will be strong on the roots-reggae sound he was raised on in Manchester. James Smith Senior, the principal of Tasjay Productions, informed Observer Online that Africa Calling Calling contains several released singles such as Know Yourself, Trodding and Cry of My People.
Hard Times, Dixon’s debut album, was released in 2023. It was followed in 2024 by Giving Thanks For Life Riddim, an EP.
According to Dixon, Nah Trust, his recently released song about corrupt politicians, set the tone for Africa Calling Calling.
“It is aimed at any politician who are weaponising the youths to carry out evil actions,” he said.
The Manchester Rad Dixon spent his youth in during the 1990s was a hotbed of roots music. It was the epicentre for the cultural rebirth that took place in dancehall music during that period, thanks to artistes like Garnet Silk, Tony Rebel and Kulcha Knox.
Most of Dixon’s songs, including Sweet Caroline, Write Your Name and Baby Don’t Worry, are produced by Tasjay Productions.
