Mega Bounce to return Dec 26-27

Inflatable theme park stops in Portmore, Mandeville; families from west to be bussed in free

Caribbean Mega Bounce, touted as the “region’s largest touring inflatable theme park”, is making its return to Jamaica.

Set to roll out at Bridgeport Cricket Club in Portmore, St Catherine, as well as Brooks Park in Mandeville, this Yuletide season, the inflatable theme park is hoping to create the kind of fun atmosphere Jamaican need post-Hurricane Melissa.

“We were hesitant to stage Mega Bounce, but the parish council, Government, and an overwhelming band of supporters asked us to go ahead and, honestly, after the disaster of Hurricane Melissa, it does feel like people want back some joy as we continue to go through recovery,” said Kirkland “Bounce Bawse” Kelly.

Outlining that Jamaica would “bounce back stronger together”, Kelly said he and his team have been donating relief items over the past few weeks in a bid to help as many people as they can.

“We’ve already helped so many people without posting. So you may not see us being active on the philanthropy scene, but we are there and we are committed to helping,” he continued.

Mega Bounce shared that Jamaicans have been so supportive of the inflatable theme park that it was a no-brainer returning that love.

“Jamaica is home. It’s where we started out with our historic first staging in the region. That Hope Gardens show during the Easter was well supported and we wanted to reciprocate that. We are coming back bigger and better,” he said.

The team will be in Portmore on December 26 and 27 with an improved set-up.

They will also be the provisions of transportation to have some of the families most-affected by Hurricane Melissa from western parishes join in on the fun free of charge.

“We want them to at least feel the Christmas spirit and this is our way of doing that,” he said.

In addition to that, Debbie Smith-Walker, a member of Team Mega Bounce, said part proceeds from the Portmore showings, as well as the Mandeville appearance on January 4, 2026, will go towards continued relief efforts.

Following its regional début in Jamaica back in April, Mega Bounce has been on a Caribbean tour. So far, the inflatable theme park has made stops in Barbados, Guyana and Antigua.

Kelly said the tour has so far exceeded expectations.

“We have to give all glory to God because it has been amazing. We had many obstacles to overcome in each country, but we had turnouts of over 10,000 people in Barbados, Antigua, and two locations in Guyana. It was a joy to see so many people get so much pleasure and fun from Mega Bounce,” he said. “The experience of operating in different countries was invaluable and has helped us to grow as a company and businessmen. We are proud to know we took the brand to other countries and had an amazing reception. The unique thing about Mega Bounce is that it appeals to everyone — all ages and sizes — so everybody wanted to come and experience Mega Bounce. It’s satisfying to hear kids and adults and families say it was the best day ever!”
