With the use of artificial intelligence (AI) becoming more prevalent, producer, musician, and recording artiste Wayne Scott has released a slew of tracks by an AI artiste called Ruby Mandella.

The ‘smart artiste’, who was created using an application, is of African-Jamaican persona.

“Millions of tracks are being released by AI. It makes the work easier and it always comes out well. The feedback has been phenomenal, so many people are linking me asking for more music,” Scott told the Jamaica Observer.

Some of the releases have included No Doubt, Free, Freedom, Change, and Like an Eagle.

The producer, who is the principal of the Ghetto Gourmet Ruby label, has also worked with artistes such as Capleton, Papa San, Round Head, Wickerman, and others.

Scott noted that the AI artiste got her first name from his mother, while the last name is an ode to Nelson Mandela. He believes in embracing the efficiency of technological advancement.

“Some people are afraid of change, but I welcome it. I am always finding ways of improving myself,” he said.

Scott is also a known poet and author who has published the book Concrete Jungle Rock. He is also widely known for the poem The Awakening, which was published by the Jamaican Government in the
Independence Journal.
