WATCH: Late Corporal Bibzie Foster hailed for 28 years of service to JCF

ST JAMES, Jamaica —Police Corporal Bibzie Foster was laid to rest on Sunday, December 14, at the Exchange Adventist Church in Ocho Rios, St Ann.

Commanding Officer of the St James Division Senior Superintendent Eron Samuels who read the eulogy at the thanksgiving service described the late Foster as a well rounded and purposeful woman.

“Bibzie embodied the qualities of a well-rounded, grounded, and purposeful woman. She had a love for music, dancing, and cooking, and she later established her own small restaurant, an expression of both her talent and the joy she found in serving others,” Samuels said.

“Foster enlisted on January 27, 1997, and served in JCF (Jamaica Constabulary Force) with exemplary dedication for 28 years, all within the St James Division. Her discipline, professionalism, and leadership led to her promotion to corporal on the 1st of December 2008. She served with distinction and was awarded four commendations. On May 21, 2021, she was awarded with the Medal of Honor for long service and good conduct,” he added.

Sergeant Lloyd Duncan, general secretary of the Jamaica Police Federation also paid tribute on behalf of the rank and file members of the JCF.

Foster was found unresponsive at her home in Brooks Close, Granville, St James in early October.
