Two dead following bingo game ambush in St James
ST JAMES, Jamaica — The St James police are now investigating the shooting deaths of two men on Monday night in the community of Orange.
The deceased men have been identified as 26-year-old Dean Hastings of Guilsborough, Lottery and 32-year-old Jaden Richardson, a businessman of Montego West Village, both in the parish.
The police report that Hastings and Richardson were among a group of people at a shop playing bingo when they were pounced upon by two men armed with guns.
The men opened fire at the group before entering the shop and stealing an undetermined sum of cash. They then made their escape in the area on foot.
The police were alerted and upon their arrival, several individuals were seen suffering from gunshot wounds. They were taken to hospital where Hastings and Richardson were pronounced dead.
The others were treated and admitted.
