Partygoers toast new year at Sunrise
They may have christened new grounds at Campion College, but organisers still managed to pair luxury with unmatched vibes at Sunnation’s Sunrise event.
The all-inclusive premium New Year’s Day breakfast party served up premium vibes with partygoers soaking in every ounce of the ambience. Champagne glasses to the skies, friend groups huddled to make toasts to 2026.
Speaking with the Jamaica Observer, Ronique Goodhall, a New York native, said Sunrise breakfast party is an annual must-attend for her. She expressed that the event always gives her value for her buck, as not only does she get to indulge in all-you-can-eat delectables, but she’s guaranteed a good time through high-energy sets from the party’s A-list DJs.
“This is where I’ve celebrated my new year since 2019. I try not to miss a staging because I know I am going to have the time of my life,” she said. “The plane ticket is always worth it because there’s no party like a party at home, and Sunrise always gives you the best backdrop for bomb pictures and a food village that always satisfies the ‘big back’ in me.”
Her friend, Antoine Livingston, who lives in Jamaica, said the event is their annual link-up. He shared that the fact that the event is set for the first day of the year allows them to celebrate friendship, new beginnings, and all they accomplished and overcame in the past year.
“This is our new year spot. This is where we come to celebrate all the good things that we achieved last year and toast the future,” he said. “We always use this event to celebrate our friendship. We look forward to eating, laughing, dancing, and just making memories together. We always leave with the best high.”
The energy was kept at 100 with an experienced line-up of DJs. With the likes of Bloodline Franco, DJ Tyler, DJ Mac, Ricky Platinum, and DJ Quan at the turntables, Sunrise sent the clearest indication that 2026 will be one of the best years the event landscape has seen.
The song selections had female patrons trading their heels for comfortable sandals as they readied themselves to dance the morning away. Dancehall selections from Vybz Kartel, Lady Saw, and Aidonia — who was front and centre at the event — had the women reaching for their dance partners as they allowed the music to dictate their movements.
Popcaan’s Pretty Crew was one of the event’s most responsive selections from the women. The song, which encourages women to show off their beauty while celebrating with friends who are equally ‘easy on the eyes’, had female partygoers clamouring to capture the moment with selfie videos.
Clearly enjoying the Sunrise experience, patrons only took breaks from the entertainment to busy themselves at the food court. From succulent ribs to creamy pasta servings and sweet treats courtesy of Devon House Ice Cream, the food station had everything patrons’ appetites desired. Servers were kept busy way into the afternoon as patrons took full advantage of the ‘all you can eat’ aspect of the event.
All in all, Sunnation’s Sunrise Breakfast party proved a great start to 2026.
