KINGSTON, Jamaica — Following the creation of a GoFundMe page to assist with medical expenses, dancehall artistes Kiprich and Kizzy Don have announced that their newborn, Miracle, has been successfully moved to another hospital in Colombia.

The couple’s baby was born prematurely while they were in Colombia for a work trip and she has been in intensive care since.

In a video shared to social media, Kiprich showed clips of the baby being transported by medical personnel via an ambulance and an aircraft.

“You are worthy, give thanks for all support coming in, keep the prayers up for baby Miracle,” the entertainer wrote in a caption accompanying the video.

Support for the couple flooded the comments of the video with followers sharing well-wishes and prayers for the baby.

According to reports, Kizzy had accompanied her partner to a stage show in Colombia. However, the unexpected early arrival of their child left the couple stranded overseas and facing severe financial challenges.

“Her mom and I had travelled to Colombia for work, and before leaving the United States, she was healthy and had clearance from her doctor to travel,” Kiprich had shared.

Due to Miracle’s premature birth and limited access to advanced medical facilities in Colombia, the couple said an estimated J$40 million was needed to airlift the baby to the United States, where she will be able receive specialised medical treatment.

The GoFundMe campaign has raised more than US$27,000 of the US$250,000 target thus far.
